Panchagavya Chikitsa Vigyan; is an important part of the traditional branch of Ayurveda. In this system, Gomutra is considered beneficial in almost all types of diseases. To preserve Gomutra for long-term use and make it suitable for consumption, it is evaporated. The result of this process is called Gomutra ghanwati (vaporized Gomutra). Gomutra ghanwati contains only the distilled aqueous (water) part of Gomutra, making it less strong in taste. It is recommended for everyone to consume it regularly for prevention and healing of diseases.
The Atharvaveda says, “Gomutre Dhanvantari”, which means Lord Dhanvantari, the deity of medicinal plants and health, resides in Gomutra.
It also says, “Gavo Somasya Prathamasya Bhakshya” – all products obtained from the Gommata are as soothing, cooling, and pure as the moon. Hence, they should be consumed in the early morning as part of a healthy lifestyle.
As per the principles of gavyasiddh medicine, the inherent nature of Gomutra is warm, which aids in the process of melting and bursting tumors, while also assisting in regulating blood pressure levels. It is considered a useful remedy for tuberculous tumors and has been found to be beneficial in cases of both high and low blood pressure.
